Battlefield Recon: System specs, customisation and more

In this week's episode of Battlefield Recon, veteran host Dan Dawkins and guest expert Andy Hartup are back to review and dissect even more of Battlefield 4's features, alongside this week's confirmed Battlefield 4 beta details.

Dan kicks things off with another Top 5 Battlefield moments, where the team has scoured the web to select the very finest clips of outstanding Battlefield play. Elsewhere, in the News section, Battlefield 4's PC system specs have finally been revealed. But what do they actually mean and how will they affect your game? Dan and Andy talk Minimum specs, Windows 8 and how the Recommended specs are remarkably close to the next gen console versions.

In the regular Analysis segment, Dan and Andy look at this week's Big Topic which is Battlefield 4's advanced weapon customisation options. Does Battlefield 4 really have three times the accessories and customisations of its previous incarnations? Even with modern gaming tech is it really possible to modify a single weapon with over 240.000 variations?

We don't know the answer, but Dan and Andy are ready to find out and take apart a QBZ 95 1 assault rifle to show just what's possible and also reveal their own personal Battlefield classes and load outs.

Rounding things off in the Analysis section, the guys take a peer into the new Pickup options and how they will affect the overall conflict. Will new highly localised battles break out over these valuable items? What will it mean for players who want to use weapons outside of their class? Andy has the answers.

A new episode of Battlefield Recon will release every Tuesday from now up to and beyond Battlefield 4's launch. If you enjoy the show, don't forget to subscribe to catch more episodes. You'll also be able to get all the very latest and take part by following @battlerecon on Twitter.
