The Division video: behind the scenes at Massive Entertainment

A look at the secretive work carried out at the studio in the run-up to the game's E3 reveal

Ubisoft has released a new video that goes behind the scenes at Ubisoft Massive, the Swedish studio making upcoming Tom Clancy game The Division.

The video covers the run-up to the online action RPG's reveal at E3 last month, where it wowed attendees and online viewers during Ubisoft's press conference.

In development for "a little over a year", the game takes place in New York following the release of a devastating manmade virus. Players step into the boots of agents from The Division, a classified unit fighting to prevent the collapse of society.

Ubisoft Massive, which previously contributed to Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Far Cry 3, is currently developing the game for Xbox One and PS4, although Ubisoft is aware there's strong consumer demand for a PC release.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said on Wednesday that The Division release date will fall "closer to the end of 2014 than the start", possibly lining up the well-received title as a major Christmas release.
