The Division takes second place; strong support for new IP across top ten

Ubisoft projects have taken the top two places in a tightly contested CVG poll for the best game of E3.

After tens of thousands of CVG readers participated in the live ratings poll, futuristic open-world action titles Watch Dogs and The Division came first and second respectively.

At the time of counting the results, Watch Dogs scored an 8.6 and The Division scored an 8.2. Both games take lead in a top ten which includes five new IPs - tell-tale signs that the market and industry are both ready to embrace new franchises.

In third is Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which was the only other game to score in the 8 bracket.

The full list, below, shows The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in forth and Bungie's next major franchise Destiny in fifth. Other new IPs that made the top ten include PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 and Xbox and PC exclusive Titanfall.
