Mad Max game is official

Warner Bros, and Avalanche Studios confirm franchise tie-in

The long-rumoured Mad Max video game has been officially confirmed during Sony's pre-E3 press conference.


A brief trailer was shown during the presentation, showing Max running over a wounded man on the side of a desert road.

The game's in development at Avalanche Studios, with Warner Bros handling publishing duties. Little else was revealed, other than that 'PlayStation gamers' of unspecified format will get an exclusive 'rogue warrior survival kit'.

The Just Cause developer had previously been rumoured to be working on an open-world game based on the upcoming flick Mad Max: Fury Road, expected in cinemas later this year or early 2014.
