Sony exec teases 'amazing big' Vita title

"You are gonna be hooked for hours," claims business development manager

Sony is gearing up to announce a major game for Vita, according to Shahid Ahmad, senior business development manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

While he was giving little away about the game, he did confirm that it's not an indie title.

As part of its annual financial briefing yesterday, Sony published annual PlayStation hardware sales forecasts for the current business year, which include an expected decline in the adoption of its portable systems.

The company said it expects to record a combined total of just five million Vita and PSP sales during the period. That compares unfavourably to seven million Vita and PSP sales reported today for the business year ended April 2013.

While Sony confirmed that it had swung to an annual profit for the first time in half a decade, the company's games business struggled, with the PlayStation division posting a notable drop in sales and operating income for the financial year ended March 31.
