Respawn Entertainment unaffected by EA layoffs

Respawn Entertainment says it hasn't felt the impact of EA's ongoing restructuring efforts, which yesterday saw the publisher announce a fresh round of staff cuts.


Respawn's debut game, a sci-fi shooter expected to be revealed at E3, is set to be published by EA under the EA Partners label, which is rumoured to be closing.

Asked how the potential EA Partners closure would affect the independent studio, Respawn said on Twitter:

Respawn, which was founded by two Infinity Ward and Call of Duty co-creators, recently filed a trademark application for Titan, which may indicate that the name of its debut game.
