THQ to take $6.55 million from final IP auction

Defunct publisher breaks down the last of its IP sales

THQ will receive around $6.55 million from last week's auction of its remaining IPs.

In official figures released today, the publisher broke down the deals made with three buying parties - Gearbox Software, Nordic Games and 505 Games.

Gearbox Software's acquisition of the Homeworld franchise will cost it $1.35 million, while Nordic Games has agreed to pay around $4.9 million for its acquisition of the Darksiders, Red Faction, MX vs ATV and Destroy All Humans franchises, along with numerous others.

And 505 Games has pledged around $3 million to take control of Drawn to Life and Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter.

The company expects the Bankruptcy Court to hear the sales motions on May 13, 2013 and to finalise the sale transactions thereafter.
