Sony adds DualShock 3 support to Xperia smartphones

Firm finds new destination for older controllers after announcing no PS4 support

Sony has added PS3 DualShock controller support to its Xperia smartphone range, as part of a new initiative to bolster the gamer appeal of its Android mobiles.

Devices such as the Xperia Z now feature a setting that allows users to pair the smartphone with the PS pad and, once set up, talk to each other over Bluetooth.

Only a limited number of Android and PlayStation Mobile games support the feature, for now. A video demonstration below explains further.
