Wii U is not in Deep Silver's forseeable future, says COO

Nintendo "audience is not who we reach best"

The COO of Deep Silver, the publisher responsible for the forthcoming Saints Row 4 and Dead Island, says the company has no plans to release games on the Wii U.

Won't see any of this on Wii U

When asked about next-gen and Wii U plans during an interview with Game Informer, the COO said that the company has no plans to bring its franchises to Nintendo's latest console.

"Not Wii U. With other companies, I've been very successful with Nintendo. With Wii U, the Nintendo market right now and their audience is not who we reach best. It's not something we're entertaining in the near or foreseeable future."

When it comes to the PS4 and the next Xbox however, he says, "you'll see us there, but not on the first day."

Last month Deep Silver confirmed that Saints Row 4 will not be released on the Wii U.
