Microsoft files Glacier Blast game trademark application

Company also picks up related domain

Microsoft has filed a trademark application for "game software" titled Glacier Blast with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

The platform holder also acquired related domain name at the end of last month, GameSpot reports, adding that the URL currently redirects to a Bing search.

Additionally, Microsoft has filed a trademark application for game software titled Marlow Briggs.

The nature of the projects the applications relate to is unclear, but the company's Xbox 360 software release slate is looking very light for the rest of the year, and with a successor to the console expected to be announced soon, it too will need some supporting games.
