Ubisoft Toronto working on future Assassin's Creed game

Jade Raymond's studio collaborating on AC4: Black Flag follow-up

Ubisoft Toronto developers have begun collaborating with Ubisoft Montreal on the follow-up to the recently announced Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

There's no indication where the franchise is headed after the upcoming seafaring adventure's release, but development of the series will continue to be shared between multiple studios and it would be fair to assume a 2014 release is planned.

Ubisoft Toronto studio managing director Jade Raymond told Polygon that the studio will be attached to five projects following competition of the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

"We have two big collaborations coming that we're not talking about, on two of the biggest franchises at Ubisoft," Raymond said. "We also have two new IP." The fifth project will be a Splinter Cell title.

The latest Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag gameplay trailer was released earlier this week, alongside details of the UK collector's editions.
