Levine denies article claiming BioShock Infinite cost $100m

Irrational Games director asks: "Did someone send cheques to the wrong address?"

The creative director of BioShock Infinite has talked down suggestions that the game cost about $100 million to develop with another $100 million set aside for marketing.

Suggestions about the game's alleged exorbitant budget were published by the New York Times, citing estimates by anonymous analysts.

Levine quickly denied the claims, writing on his personal Twitter account "200 million for Infinite? Did someone send some checks to the wrong address?"

The highly anticipated FPS will release on March 26 following a string of delays.
