Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada has indicated that Tekken X Street Fighter may release on platforms other than current-generation consoles.
Posting on Twitter, Harada responded to a query on development progress by confirming that the game is still "under development".
Continuing, he attributed the lack of updates on the project to reconsiderations on the platforms it is to be released on.
The title's Capcom-developed partner project, Street Fighter X Tekken, was released for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and PS Vita.
I said "under development" few days ago. We are changing & considering platform strategy. That's why we don't say anything.Thx RT@koalliance— Katsuhiro Harada (@Harada_TEKKEN) March 18, 2013
Namco Bandai's Tekken X Street Fighter was announced at San Diego Comic-con in 2010 as its entry in a two game fighting crossover. Capcom's Street Fighter X Tekken was released last year.
A brief glimpse of Street Fighter's Ryu in the Tekken X Street Fighter engine was shown publicly at Gamescom 2010. However, a year later Harada stated that work on the project hadn't started.
