Evidence points to Fast & Furious game from Activision this May

Retailer product listing and ratings body classification out movie tie-in

Activision looks set to launch a new game called Fast & Furious: Showdown to coincide with the launch of Fast & Furious 6 at cinemas.

Retailer EB Games is listing Fast & Furious: Showdown as being published by Activision for Wii U on May 15 and PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 22. It's also carrying the box art below.

And earlier this week, Fast & Furious: Showdown was given a Mature rating by the Australian Classification board, which claims the title is being developed by Firebrand Games.

Activision previously worked with Firebrand on NASCAR Unleashed. The development studio has also contributed to the Grid and Need for Speed series. We've approached Activision for comment.

According to EB Games, the title delivers "the definitive Fast & Furious experience of racing, heists & teamwork.

"In Fast and Furious nature, it's all about the crew. Every mission is played cooperatively, either with a friend or A.I.

"Heists, hijacks and shootouts combine in a storyline that ties events from Fast 5 and earlier movies to the upcoming Fast 6 movie."
