Telltale Games has clarified its plans regarding the release date of The Walking Dead Season 2, saying it is currently aiming to launch new episodes this autumn.
"The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of this year (2013), and not next year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview," the studio confirmed in a statement to GameInformer.
"We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale's series."
The confusion is a result of a statement made yesterday by a Telltale co-founder and CEO Dan Connors, who said the team is "aiming for fall next year."
Connors was also asked about the possibility of the acclaimed episodic series appearing on the PS4: "Gee I don't know. I would think so, though, but it's all going to depend on timing I guess. But we don't have enough information from them [Sony] to announce it or anything."
Gary Whitta, who oversaw the narrative of season one and wrote episode four, recently said Telltale is working on Walking Dead content which will arrive before Season 2.
