DICE's creative director for Frostbite has expressed interest in Oculus Rift support for the engine.
Speaking with a moderator of the MTBS3D forums, Frostbite creative director Frank Vitz expressed enthusiasm for the Oculus Rift headset, but made no promises of future support.
"I am really eager to see how the Oculus Rift works with Frostbite," he said. "There are multiple titles in the works that would be awesome with the Rift." He also said that Oculus Rift support would rely on support from individual game teams, and that the wider support of EA - who owns the studio - wasn't necessary to implement compatibility.
Forthcoming EA games using DICE's new Frostbite 2.0 engine include Battlefield 4 and Dragon Age 3.
