New Assassin's Creed Vita game reportedly set for 2013

Ubisoft said to be planning two series releases this year

A new Assassin's Creed game for Vita is reportedly set for release later this year.

That's according to VGLeaks, one of the more reliable sources of next gen information in the build up to Sony's PS4 reveal.

With Ubisoft having officially confirmed Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag for consoles and PC earlier today, the site claims "this year we'll see two AC games, that's for sure", adding, "bet for a Vita one in 2013."

We praised the franchise's debut release on Vita last year, noting in our Assassin's Creed: Liberation review: "This is a quality game on a machine lacking in console-calibre blockbusters."

Ubisoft said earlier this month that Assassin's Creed: Liberation sales stand at about 600,000 units.

And company CEO Yves Guillemot also said last week that Ubisoft is working on unannounced Vita games, noting: "I cannot announce anything, but it's coming. The Vita is not dead for us."
