Respawn Entertainment, the studio founded by Call of Duty creators Jason West and Vince Zampella following their split from Infinity Ward, will attend E3 this year.
So confirmed Zampella via Twitter today. "I've gotten a 'few' questions about e3expo plans this year. Yes, we will finally be at E3!" he said.
The studio has been working on a top secret project to be published by EA. While nothing more than the blurry teaser image pictured has been revealed, EA Games president Frank Gibeau previously hinted the game is a sci-fi shooter that will compete with the likes of Halo and Gears of War.
While the studio's attendance at this year's E3 show doesn't necessarily confirm that its game will be revealed, studio co-founder Zampella told CVG at E3 last year that the reveal of Respawn's first game will be "hopefully soon".
E3 2013 takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 11-13.
The Activision and Infinity Ward lawsuit reached an out-of-court settlement in May, following a bitter and public dispute that dragged on for two years.
