One of the most visually impressive platformers of the 16-bit era, Mickey Mania saw Mickey Mouse travelling through time, visiting locations from previous Mickey cartoons such as Steamboat Willie, The Mad Doctor and The Prince And The Pauper.

Mickey Mania's success was down to the talent involved in its development. The game was developed by Traveller's Tales - who these days are more well-known for the LEGO series of games - while the animations were created by real Disney animators. It was also the first game David Jaffe worked on, before he moved on to the Twisted Metal series and later the God Of War games.

Initially released on the Mega Drive, SNES and Mega CD (the latter version had much more voice acting), an enhanced version of Mickey Mania was released on the PlayStation in 1996 under the name Mickey's Wild Adventure. It's currently available in the PSOne Classics section of the PlayStation Store, but be warned - it's a difficult game.
