GameStop CEO Paul Raines claims to have been wowed by a recent Battlefield 4 showing.
The retailer's top executive tweeted last night: "Got to see Battlefield 4 today and all I can say is WOW! Thanks @EA for the sneak peek. Can't wait for you all to see it. ^CEO #BF4"
EA confirmed that the game is in development at DICE last July in a video announcing that those who pre-ordered the Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition would be granted access to Battlefield 4 beta in autumn 2013.
Battlefield 4 will continue the series' focus on modern warfare, according to DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson, who said last August. "We feel this is a place we can be and continue with the series. Battlefield 4 can live in this space and be very successful."
The Battlefield 4 release date is expected to fall in the fourth quarter of 2013.
