Ubisoft's Uplay shop expands to sell third-party games

EA, Warner Bros, and more join while Ubisoft titles hit EA's Origin service

Ubisoft's digital platform Uplay has today expanded to distribute games from other publishers.

Titles from major publishers such as EA (Crysis 3) and Warner Bros. Batman: Arkham City) are now available via the Uplay Shop, as well as developers such as Robot Entertainment (Orcs Must Die 2), Freebird Games (To the Moon), and Iceberg (Endless Space) and more.

Ubisoft is also now selling its own titles via EA's digital distribution platform, Origin. Titles such as Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3 and Splinter Cell Conviction are on their way.

Ubisoft titles are available via Origin to PC gamers in North America from today, and will appear in Europe and Asia on February 22.

Origin recently added Mac to its list of supported platforms, with EA claiming 'nearly 40 million users'.

Between now and March 4, Ubisoft is offering a free digital copy of Driver San Francisco, From Dust, Might & Magic Heroes VI Deluxe Edition, Rayman Origins, The Settlers 7 Gold Edition or World in Conflict Complete Edition to anyone who purchases a game worth $19,99 or more via the Uplay Shop.
