Destiny: Leaked pre-order poster photos surface with new info - report

Double-sided posters arrive at retailers donning new art, gameplay details

US retailer GameStop plans to hand out Destiny posters to customers who pre-order Bungie's new game from Monday, February 18, claims an unconfirmed report.

Photos of the double-sided poster (pictured), along with new info apparently provided by documentation that came with the posters, was passed to Joystiq by a 'GameStop source'.

According to the report, the documentation reveals that players will be able to create their own character, earning customisable gear, weapons and vehicles as they do battle in an 'always-connected universe'.

The first-person shooter is also said to include co-operative and competitive multiplayer modes along with 'public and social activities'.

Bungie has officially confirmed its new game will be revealed on February 17 - this coming Sunday.

Plot and concept art details for Destiny leaked in November last year pointed to "a universe as deep, tangible and relatable as that of the Star Wars franchise" said to be "fun and accessible to all."

According to the leaked docs, Destiny will feature a story set seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System "littered with the ruins of man's Golden Age". Head over here for more Destiny details.
