Black Ops 2 tops US sales in January

DMC: Devil May Cry and Ni No Kuni make their chart debuts

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was the top-selling game in the US in January, holding off competition from Far Cry 3 and Just Dance 4.


NBA 2K13 and Madden NFL 13 rounded off the top five, ahead of the highest charting new release, DMC: Devil May Cry.

PS3 exclusive Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, which topped the UK chart upon its release, debuted at No.11, but ranked seventh on an individual SKU basis, according to the NPD Group.

On the hardware front, Xbox 360 was the best-selling gaming platform in the US in January, the 18th consecutive month it has led overall hardware sales (home and handheld systems) and the 25th straight month it has topped home console sales.
