Zelda Miiverse community launches today

Series head Aonuma "might visit"

Nintendo's announced that a new Zelda Miiverse community will launch on Wii U today.

Speaking during the company's latest Nintendo Direct broadcast, president Satoru Iwata suggested that Zelda series head Eiji Aonuma might contribute to the Miiverse community "from time to time."

In an earlier Nintendo Direct this year the platform holder announced two Zelda instalments for Wii U; Wind Waker HD and a brand new title.

For the latter Nintendo's Aonuma said he wanted to "set aside [series] 'conventions', get back to basics and create a newborn Zelda game so that the players today can best enjoy the real essence of the franchise."
