Kojima to reveal Fox Engine at GDC 2013

Presentation puts Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes under the spotlight

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima will show off the new Fox Engine alongside the first game to be powered by it, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, at the Game Developer's Conference next month.

Kojima and members of his development team will host a presentation entitled 'Photorealism through the eyes of a 'Fox' - The core of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes', during which a demonstration of the new Fox Engine will be given.

The presentation will share "the key components and unique methods used to create the visuals seen in Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes," showcasing the Fox Engine's lighting system, character realism, environmental changes, graphics techniques and the Fox Engine tools.

Hideo Kojima will be joined on stage by technical director Junji Tago, lighting artist Masayuki Suzuki, and CG art director Hideki Sasaki.

Kojima revealed the first Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes gameplay video in September 2012, before title was confirmed for a multi-platform release on PS3 and Xbox 360.

GDC 2013 will take place March 25-29 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
