Metal Gear Rising: Early review scores go public

Three high scores for Platinum's action spin-off

The first Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance review scores have gone live in the printed games media.


Japanese magazine Famitsu has reportedly issued the game an impressive 39/40 score, while UK magazines Play and Games TM have gone with 91% and 9/10 respectively.

According to site Gaming Everything, the latter mag claims the Platinum title offers "around six to eight hours" of gameplay, not including additional VR missions.

It also goes as far as calling Rising "almost certainly the best Metal Gear game released this generation".

Konami publicised Famitsu's review score on its Twitter feed ahead of the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance release date of February 22 in the UK. It also released a new Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailer showcasing the game's unlockable and upgradeable skills:
