The Xbox 360 has shifted 76 million units worldwide since its launch in 2005, according to Microsoft.
Meanwhile, the Kinect peripheral has sold 24 million since its launch in November 2010. Currently, Xbox Live boasts 46 million subscribers amounting to 18 billion hours of usage.
The new Xbox Live figure shows a 15 per cent increase since 2012, and includes both free and Gold memberships.
The news comes as rumor and speculation ramps up surrounding the Xbox 360's successor, which will reportedly require online connection and block second hand sales.
