Sega has officially announced the Aliens: Colonial Marines season pass, following a retail leak last month.
Priced at 2400 MS Points (£20.56 / $30.00 / $30.00) on Xbox 360 and $29.99 /£19.99 / €29.99 / on PS3 and PC, it will provide access to "all four" planned DLC packs. Picking up the pass will offer an almost 40 per cent saving on the content when compared to the cost of buying the packs individually
The DLC will feature new campaign and multiplayer content, beginning with March's Bug Hunt pack, in which players have to "take on waves of increasingly difficult enemies in three brand new maps based on environments from the Aliens film".
Sega has confirmed an Aliens: Colonial Marines release date of February 12, 2013 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with a Wii U launch date set to be "revealed at a later time".
Customers who place Aliens: Colonial Marines pre-orders will be able to play as Aliens movie characters Hicks, Hudson, Drake and Apone in multiplayer, customise their marine's arsenal and wield Ripley's flamethrower.
