UPDATE: Square Enix teases new 'Murdered' project

Mystery project in development for PS3, PC and Xbox 360; ARG goes live

A number of representatives for Square Enix have pointed to a teaser website for a mystery game project given the name 'Murdered'.

Little is known of the game, though the title of the web page reads: "What is the hardest mystery to solve?"

A disclaimer note reveals the project is in development for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Cryptic images, published below, have begun to emerge online.

There is no official connection between Murdered and Square Enix, aside from the game's website being publicised by a number of Square Enix employees, such as community manager Ben Bateman.

In June last year, Crystal Dynamics hinted that it was working on a new IP.

[UPDATE: Square Enix has confirmed to VG247 that the game's full name is 'Murdered: Soul Suspects'.

The publisher stated: "Murdered: Soul Suspect is an exciting new game from Square Enix which challenges players to solve possibly the hardest case of all"

Meanwhile, an Alternate Reality Game for the project is now live, though at the time of going to press is blocked due to an unknown password.]
