Scribblenauts Unlimited suffers last-minute European delay

Wii U and 3DS game pushed back to implement changes before launch

Scribblenauts Unlimited has suffered a last-minute European delay.

Previously set for release on Wii U and 3DS this week, the game has now been pushed back to an unspecified launch date.

Nintendo said in a statement this morning: "We are sorry to announce that Scribblenauts Unlimited, a game developed by Warner Bros. Interactive & 5th Cell and published by Nintendo of Europe for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, will be delayed in Europe.

"It has come to light that some changes need to be implemented within the game before we launch them across Europe. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to make further announcements on the European launch of these games very soon."

Scribblenauts Unlimited was a Wii U launch title in the US, where it's also available on 3DS and PC. It was originally expected to release in Europe in 2012 too, but was delayed to 2013 last November, when a developer from 5th Cell said of the slip:

"It's due to stuff I can't talk about until 2013. Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts were released NA and EU the same day. Trust me. I want your money. It's due to things outside of development."
