Square Enix has confirmed the next Sleeping Dogs DLC expansion, Year of the Snake.
The add-on - first leaked online via a Trophies list - continues Wei Shen's story as he rejoins the Hong Kong Police Department in a series of missions set immediately after the main game.
The official description reads: "A vicious end-of-the-world cult is taking root in the back streets of Hong Kong... the Cult of the Snake. Hell-bent on cleansing the city of its evils, they cannot be negotiated with as they pursue a path to their righteous salvation.
"With an arsenal of weapons, including teargas guns and electroshock pistols, new outfits and abilities, Wei must enter a race against the clock to bring the cultists to justice before Judgment Day."
Square Enix London Studios announced today that Sleeping Dogs was the UK's best-selling new videogame IP of 2012 at retail, according to figures released by Chart Track.
PS3 owners who haven't played the game yet but subscribe to PlayStation Plus will be able to download it free of charge for one month beginning on February 6.
Sleeping Dogs developer United Front Games is currently recruiting for a "next gen console title".
