Rare exec George Andreas joins Sony

Former Microsoft employee steps away after 16 years

Long-serving Rare executive George Andreas has resigned from the studio to join Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

Andreas had been working at Rare for over 16 years.

"My forward-thinking and unique creative vision combined with my world class user experience-focussed skills have made me a key go-to person throughout the organisation for many hardware and software initiatives," Andreas said on his new LinkedIn profile.

He has now taken on the job of creative director at PlayStation Europe's London headquarters. No information on his next project, or new duties, was given.
