Further layoffs reported at Disney's games division

Following Junction Point's closure, another 50 workers may have been let go

Disney has reportedly laid off around 50 members of staff from its games division.


The cuts were made across several locations and were separate to those that resulted from this week's closure of Epic Mickey studio Junction Point, the LA Times reports.

Disney said yesterday that it closed Junction Point in order to "align resources against key priorities".

The company's big gaming bet is its upcoming Infinity project for consoles, PC and mobile devices. Last week we described it as "equal parts Skylanders, Minecraft and LittleBigPlanet" in our Disney Infinity preview.
