Activision will never make a Call of Duty movie

Doesn't want to "taint the brand"

Call of Duty may seem like an obvious choice for a movie adaptation, but Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has no plans to turn the beloved series into a movie.

In a profile for the New York Times, Kotick reveals that he has had several offers from movie studios to make a Call of Duty film, but has turned down every single one.

According to the publication, Kotick states that movies based on video games rarely please devoted fans and "could taint the brand."

While many may think Call of Duty would lend itself quite well to a movie, Kotick wants to keep the brand healthy rather than risk cheapening it with a poorly made film.
