Skyrim DLC 'Dragonborn' to introduce dragon mounting - report

Game files also hint at a return to Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon's Solstheim setting

The next Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC will reportedly be called Dragonborn.

That's according to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim PC players who mined the filenames contained in the sprawling RPG's most recent update and unearthed multiple references to "DLC2" and "Dragonborn".

The uncovered files also hint at the introduction of dragon mounting and a return to Solstheim, the setting for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind's Bloodmoon expansion, reports OXM.

Solstheim is a cold northern island that sits more or less astride the border between Morrowind and the Nord homeland of Skyrim.

Bethesda parent company Zenimax trademarked Dragonborn for use in reference to downloadable games software earlier this year, so this is certainly plausible.

Xbox 360 and PC players have already been treated to two Skyrim DLC packs in the form of Dawnguard and Hearthfire. Bethesda said earlier this month that it has no new information to share about its ongoing efforts to release Skyrim PS3 DLC.
