Bethesda: Skyrim Dawnguard PS3 delay unrelated to Hearthfire development

"The entire team doesn't work on one thing at a time," says marketing VP

Bethesda PR and marketing VP Pete Hines has said that yesterday's announcement of the Elder Scrolls V Hearthfire DLC for Xbox 360 is unrelated to the delayed release of the game's Dawnguard add-on pack on PS3.

Microsoft has a 30 day exclusivity window for the first two Skyrim DLC packs, but Dawnguard launched for Xbox 360 on June 26 and hit PC in early August, when Bethesda said it was "not satisfied" with the DLC's performance on PS3.

Asked whether Dawnguard's PS3 delay has anything to do with Hearthfire being in development, Hines responded: "No, they are separate things.

"We are working on multiple projects, even beyond those two things. The entire team doesn't work on one thing at a time."

Hearthfire will allow players to purchase land and build their own home from the ground up. It'll be available to download from Xbox Live on September 4, priced at 400 Microsoft Points (£3.43).
