Industry will be 'shaken' by next week's Metal Gear event

Big announcement and a Fox Engine demo promised in Kojima Productions podcast

Metal Gear developer Kojima Productions is preparing for its Metal Gear 25th Anniversary event on August 30 at which it will make revelations that'll 'shake' the industry.

That's according to the latest Kojima Productions podcast (thanks Gematsu), which promises 'exciting announcements' to come.

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has already said that his new Fox Engine will be shown at the August 30 event - taking place in Tokyo, Japan - and hinted that it could be demonstrated alongside a new game (Metal Gear Solid 5, anyone?).

The 'Fox Engine' is a totally original engine from Kojima Productions, created to power future KP projects starting with Kojima's mystery new game.

KP's Chris Johns said during the podcast that there's "a lot of things to look forward to next week, not just for fans, but I think the industry's gonna be shook by what we're going to be able to present here."

Kojima will apparently make an announcement regarding an 'idea of a game that connects people'.
