Hitman: Absolution's Contracts mode was inspired by fans of the series.
The asynchronous multiplayer game type will enable players to create original kill scenarios targeting three characters on a given level. Others will then be challenged to finish them in the quickest time possible, with speedy completion earning players cash to spend on weapons and disguises that they can take into other Contracts.
Speaking a video interview you can watch below, IO Interactive gameplay designer Torben Ellert told us:
"The initial idea actually came from what fans were doing, because they were taking video captures of all kinds of weird and wonderful kills, a 100 way to kill a clown, that sort of thing, and sticking them on YouTube and writing what score they got in the comments and then telling their mates to go in and see if they could do better."
