Activision promises a 'true Call of Duty experience on Vita'

Publisher plans to reveal more details on Black Ops Declassified next week

Activision has promised to deliver a "true Call of Duty experience" on Vita with Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified.

While little has been confirmed about the game since its announcement, the latest issue of MCV says more details will be revealed next week at Gamescom.

"You can really expect us to deliver a true Call of Duty experience," Michael Sportouch, Activision's European VP and GM of the Santa Monica business unit, said of Declassified.

"We are really excited about the opportunities that the Vita could offer us in terms of connecting with a new audience."

Back in June a Walmart listing seemingly revealed the first proper details about the game, which is expected to launch this year.

"Before the future could be won, history had to be written," it read. "Exposing that story exclusively on PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions.

"Optimized for gamers on-the-go, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified delivers the most intense handheld Call of Duty experience to date, including both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita."

The debut Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer trailer launched earlier this week. We dissected all the juicy details here.
