Limbo successor detailed by Danish government

Concept art and intended platforms revealed

Details on the new project for Playdead - the developer responsible for last year's indie hit Limbo - have emerged on a Danish government website.

Bearing the working title Project 2, the grant recipients listing reveals the game will be a platformer that "tells the story of a boy's struggle against evil forces trying to take over the world through questionable experiments on human bodies."

The listing also specifies that the game will be in colour, and available on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac. The gameplay will involve "unique puzzles and changing scenarios", with 2D style platforming taking place in a 3D environment.

Exciting news, yes, but as Playdead told Edge last year, production on Project 2 is expected to take more than three years.
