Japan: Resident Evil beats new chart entry Soul Calibur V

While 3DS comfortably leads weekly hardware sales

Resident Evil: Revelations topped the Japanese software chart in its second week of availability, holding off competition from new release Soul Calibur V.

Creepy-sounding dating sim Photo Girlfriend debuted in third place during the week ended February 5, ahead of fellow newcomer Ragnarok Odyssey and the previous week's best-seller, Armored Core V.

On the hardware front, most platforms saw a slight dip in weekly sales as 3DS again comfortably outperformed PS3, Vita and PSP, according to Andriasang.
