Earnings from Epic Games' Infinity Blade franchise have surpassed $30 million in the year since the first game's release.
Developed by Epic-owned Chair Entertainment, the original game has grossed more than $23 million to date, while Infinity Blade II has delivered net earnings in excess of $5 million launching on December 1.
Epic Games president Michael Capps said: "The success of the Infinity Blade franchise is testament to our talented team who is devoted to making games we want to play, all while using Unreal Engine technology to redefine what is expected from games on iOS devices.
"We have so much more in store for players, and will continue to make great content for Apple's evolving platforms."
Last month, Chair co-founder Donald Mustard said the crunch time the studio underwent to finish Infinity Blade II in six months was "not worth the cost" to his team.
