Call Of Duty: Black Ops map packs - Where do you stand?

Little parcels of longevity or multiplayer money-grabbers?

Call of Duty: Black Ops got some brand new DLC today in a bundle labelled 'Escalation'.

It's the familiar combination of multiplayer maps and zombie zones allowing COD players to continue their military mayhem in some new surroundings.

Those of you who are partial to a shiny new map or two may very well have grabbed Black Ops' First Strike DLC back in February and, if leaks from down under (behave) are anything to go by, we can expect more of the same but slightly different with a brand new Black Ops map pack in May as well.

And therein lies the rub for many of you; it's the familiar string of map pack releases that keep the latest iteration of Call of Duty fresh for many but enrage others who feel that Activision is merely making a cheap play for their money.

If you're a real fan of the map pack you've probably already had a quick scan across Escalation's new plains. Let us know what you think and whether or not the DLC offers enough to justify taking your hard earned gold.

For those of you who turn your nose up at the COD rations, have any of the Escalation screenshots and videos tempted you at all, or are you still convinced Black Ops fans are being played for fools?

Also, with 360 players getting dibs on every Black Ops pack to date, do PS3 and PC fans feel left out in the cold or are you happy to wait?
