Rumblings on the internet have suggested that movie studio Universal is in the early stages of throwing together another film based on Doom.
The first film based on the FPS series, which we have no problems calling a massive turd, was released in late 2009 and featured the acting talents of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
According to whispers the success of Paramount's G.I Joe: Rise of Cobra has spurred Universal to start production on a film reboot of Doom (can you see the link?)
Details on the project are scarce at the moment but we're going to guess that it'll be shot in eye-popping, brain melting 3D and may or may not once again star WWE's Brahma Bull. Also, it'll probably be rubbish.
The Doom IP is currently in the hands of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout firm Bethesda. Developer id Software is hard at work on Rage and a fourth Doom.
Bethesda PR VP Pete Hines has said a Rage demo is looking highly unlikely.
