EA CEO John Riccitiello has reiterated the company's desire to develop new IPs Mirror's Edge and Dead Space into franchises, despite mixed results from the games at retail.
This year's Assassin's Creed in terms of pre-release hype, Mirror's Edge doesn't appear to have been doing the business commercially, but EA's boss says the game will likely receive a follow-up.
"Mirror's Edge is one that was very strongly reviewed, that one's going to go forward," Riccitiello said during a conference call, according to Edge-Online.
"We're probably going to look into some issues around the design to make sure strong IP is married with strong business," he added.
"We're actually very pleased with a lot of our new franchises this year," he continued, also going on to reiterate plans for a follow up to the excellent Dead Space, which he labelled a "long-term big winner" for the publisher.
